Scientists have been observing the skies for centuries in a quest to know as much as we can about the universe. They have viewed multitudes of interstellar objects, such as stars, galaxies and nebulae. Recent breakthroughs in efficiency and clarity in observation have opened many new doors into seeing the workings of our universe.
In the past several years, observations have concluded that incredibly massive, but relatively small objects called black holes infest the centers of most galaxies. This has provoked the question of whether such a black hole exists in the core of our own galaxy, the Milky Way.
